Our Mission
Midwest Brain Injury Clubhouse (MBIC) stands as a beacon of empowerment and holistic rehabilitation for individuals navigating cognitive challenges arising from brain injuries, strokes, aging, and other disabilities. We are steadfast in our commitment to fostering a nurturing environment that thrives on inclusivity, innovation, and community collaboration. Our comprehensive suite of services spans psychosocial support, community integration, speech, occupational, art, and music therapies, as well as robust educational and adult literacy programs.
We extend our reach to the caregivers, providing them with invaluable support, and to the academic community of Chicagoland, offering a rich terrain for practicums, internships, and collaborative research. Through these concerted efforts, we not only enhance the quality of life and self-sufficiency of our members but also contribute to a reservoir of knowledge and community engagement that propels positive change.
In this pursuit, we cherish our partnerships and the generous support of funders, whose contributions are instrumental in advancing our mission. As we evolve, our foundation of compassion, empowerment, and innovation continues to inspire our journey towards making a lasting impact on the lives we touch and the broader community we serve.
